Card sort results: nothing in the pass down pile

The problem

We expected to hear that people on the Row didn't care about waste, but that wasn't it. In a card sort, two fraternity members split every item between keep and throw away and put nothing in pass down, because nothing in a house has a next owner, there's no inventory, and every June the slate gets wiped.

What we did

We interviewed people across Greek life, from the FSL dean to house RAs and social chairs, and then tested prototypes with house members. Each one fixed one thing and missed another: a legacy mark gave a class an identity but no network, a shared inventory made things visible but gave no one a reason to use it, and a skill-trade app was social but had no handoff.

Three prototypes: Legacy Mark, a shared inventory, CommonFix

What came of it

Handeed keeps what worked from each, so houses post what's broken, fix or lend things for each other, and compete for it on a season leaderboard. I built it with Claude Code from our team's spec.
